The NFT Museum Accession Committee meets regularly to review potential acquisitions and commissions. If you would like a project or artifact to be considered please contact us at info@nonfungibletokenmuseum.org.

The Museum accepts all NFT donations. Donated NFTs are guaranteed to be considered for exhibition both in-person and online.

An acquisition is defined by the transfer of an NFT asset from a 3rd-party wallet to a wallet under the control of the NFT Museum. In the case of a physical object, an acquisition is defined as the transfer of title from a donor to the museum. Physical donations are handled on a case by case basis, whereas digital transfers can be made at any time.

Title of an NFT transfers legally to the Museum when the NFT is received into a digital wallet that is controlled by the museum.

All acquisitions made by the NFT Museum are used primarily for educational, scientific, research and public exhibition purposes.

The museum collects NFTs registered on all blockchains for its permanent collection. Be sure when sending an NFT that you use the appropriate blockchain address and that you submit this brief donation form so that we are notified of the donation and can acknowledge receipt.

The museum does not accept acquisitions of which restrictions or special conditions, other than donor recognition, have been placed. Exceptions to this policy will be considered if the donation is only meant for staking and earning income from the NFT rather than transferring title. Contact the Museum directly if you wish to discuss a NFT donation or transfer with special restrictions.

Due to limited exhibition space and periodically changing exhibitions, no commitments shall be made to exhibit objects acquired for the collections in the museum’s galleries for any duration of time. However, a Donation Badge NFT from the museum will be transferred to the donating wallet and you may also receive Commemorative NFTs if your artwork is featured in an exhibition or special event.

Potential acquisitions must meet three basic criteria:

  • Relevance: the NFT or object must support the Museum’s mission and fit within its stated collecting goals.
  • Use: the NFT or object must have the capacity for use in exhibitions.
  • Copyright Compliant: the object must not infringe on any existing copyright.
  • Legal: The NFT or object must be legal to possess and not contain any imagery or content that is deemed illegal by law in the United States.
